TECHNOLOGY'S EFFECT ON YOUTH

Technologies Persuasion on Youth
In the nineties when KIDS INC. was founded, the internet, and world wide web was not available. Smartphones were not available.
Technology then exploded! The generation of those who are at the helm, have by designed, used what is known as "Persuasive Technology".
If you follow the path of this, you'll find that it's not uncommon, just unheard of.

For years before the internet, this same type of "Persuasion" has been used since words were first spoken, written and transmitted in any form.

The idea that today's great technologies specifically target children and teens literally to alter behavior and even more critical, the altering of the brain and natural thought processes should be questioned. It leaves one feeling deeply uncomfortable.

This information is important. It's a catalyst for achieving our ambition of a safe internet experience for children.

At what age do you allow internet access?
Have you set parental controls?
Have you set limits?

OR - Does your child/teen know more about technology than you?

What are your thoughts?

If we look at the billions of dollars spent on data centers, AI, and smartphones, the biggest "customer" isn't an adult in an office—it’s a kid in their bedroom. For a middle schooler in 2026, these resources change how their brain grows and how they see the world.
